Are they going to build it properly?

25 million for a 3 mile track, as long as the land is good and that 25 milllion is just the cost of the track I am going to guess it's going to be be built pretty well.

cool, I doubt that 25 million will be for the track only though, it'll cover the garages, houses, and other buildings and landscaping I'm guessing. Will be interesting to see how it turns out. The owner is kidding himself if he truly believes all the cars on the track will be street legal and "quite". ha!

Anyone find a link to info about the park? All I am finding is the same news report and the LG webpage that sells parts.

To Matt's point about noise, I know there are tracks out there that have noise restrictions and may test if a vehicle sounds too loud; there may be clauses in his permit. But really, I think his statement is more PR.

It looks like they have a convenient way to break the track into front and back sides, but I didn't see a way to provide direct access between the pit and the back side. I did not see a separate pit for the back either.

Surprised they already started construction before the news got wind of it. Most of these die in the planning stage. Lots of hype, nothing but empty fields.

"Land clearing starts in 2 weeks". Sounds promising.

Either gonna kill ECR or force them to improve though.

I don't think ECR is improving just due to funding, they sunk a ton of money into something that was supposed to last longer than it has.

I would expect the houses will be built before the track, so the land clearing is probably for that. I'll believe the track when I see it complete.

Well the company that is building it and it's named after is a car deal, so they might be snobs about it and only allow cars. But if they have days / weekends open and they want to make some money we might get lucky. As for permit, they said it wasn't zoned so they pretty much can do anything they want without a permit I think.

MSR and ECR both were built with only cars in mind. A track that doesn't open themselves to bikes is either foolish, or have way to much money already.

Possibly interesting info...

The location is https://www.google.com/maps/@33.362494,-96.4518958,17z

It is the property NE of the intersection of 2862 and 526. LG directly owns at least 3 legal parcels totaling 150 acres. Only one is designated commercial, the others are designated open space/agriculture at this point.

Numerous surrounding parcels are owned by property holding companies.

While unincorporated area is not zoned, permits are still required for commercial and residential development. Also interesting to nobody is that the property is in the "Extra Territorial Jurisdiction" of the city of Anna.

Motorsports parks seem to be making money. Cresson is building additional garages and houses. Harris Hill down here has a waitlist for garages. Maybe ECR is just doing it wrong... TWS did it wrong too by pissing off NASCAR back in the day. Tracks that are run crappy don't make money as it seems...go figure.

This is great news and the glimpse of the track looks awesome. I doubt they will restrict bikes, we do very little damage to tracks and can be stacked in much deeper than cars. Here is to a new place to play.

Here's the facebook page for the guy, https://www.facebook.com/lou.gigliotti1. One of the posts someone asked how long till done he said 9 to 14 months. I'll be pretty impressed if it all happens that quickly.

I found a comment form the Guy says "There will be TRACK DAYS when anyone can come,

Again, too much bad information"

He was responding to guys saying they didn't have a "top end race car brand"

So I'm assuming this will include bike hopefully :).
