I was outside. I didn't have the glasses so I didn't get to see anything good. A couple people here put the glasses over the lenses of their cell phone and got good pics, though. I thought it would be darker out than it was.

I got to look through the special glasses and it just looked like a crescent moon.

So it was a, "didn't get to see anything good", "just looked overcast", "just looked like a crescent moon sort of deal???" Hell, my daily commute on two wheels kicks tails on silly eclipse!

I read that if you burned your eyes today you probably won't feel it much until tomorrow morning.

It was awesome!!!! My house was about 5 miles from the path of totality.... So we drove 15 miles into it.

All these were taken with my S7. Wasn't going to go because of clouds and rain, but we ran out for lunch and it cleared up, so we took off. Glad we did!

I thought it was totally cool as well. I made a pin hole projector with supplies from the mail room and a couple people had the glasses. just a bunch of people hanging out in the parking lot for 15 minutes staring at the sun.

Nice photos.

There were several of us a LM standing out in the parking lots watching it. One of the guys said transportation got an alert to be on the look out for people standing around looking at the sun. ha!

And if you haven't heard, there will be another total eclipse in 2024 and the path of totality will cover Fort Worth and Dallas.

It is expected to occur in April so we may not have clear skies for this event.

That (and the fact that we may not be alive in 7 years ) is what made the wife and I drive up to Nebraska to see it. No fried eyes, but when totality hit, I did panic a bit and didn't get any good photos. Two and a half minutes isn't long enough for this slow ol' fart. I forgot to change the ISO setting on the camera, and the tripod operator (me) doesn't work so well in the dark. If I'm still around in 2024 I'll plan it out better.

And totality will last longer. Max totality will be around 4 and a half minutes but you'll have to drive over to the east side of Dallas. The west side of fort worth it'll be around 2 minutes, Arlington area will be around 3 minutes.

I rode out to Walmart, Dollar General and Home Depot an hour before hand to find some glasses, but all of them were out. Cute Mexican girl at home depot let me borrow her little piece of xray film to look through, and I could barely see the moon starting to cover the sun. It was so small, even with glasses and totality I think it would have been a let down. Anyway, here the best video I found for the eclipse so far -

I didn't! Still kicking myself about it a little. She had all kinds of tattoos on her arms, which is a bit of a turn off for me, and she was probably in some Mexican gang!
