Aug *11*, Party at Mike and Amy's new house

Post by Bird » Sat Jul 28, 2007 6:02 pm

OK, Guys, sorry it took so long, but there's a LOT to do with moving into a new house! We're going to do it in the evening and ALL are invited. I'll reclaim my Grill Master title from Don and cook burgers and my infamous brats. Everybody kick in on sides and bring your own alcohol (even on my salary, I can't afford to give this bunch enough to drink for an evening, but I will throw in a case of Coors light for the non-drinkers! :-) )

If anyone wants to do the Jello Shot thing (not ME), I have an extra fridge in the garage, so we should have plenty of room. I'll have a big ice chest on the porch for your favorite chilled brain-cell killer. I'll handle the meat, buns, condoments and new house to gather in.

The house is in Burleson, just a couple of minutes east of 35 and Alsbury (map and directions to come later). Matt and Chris think I should hold a camp out in the back yard ... not opposed to that and we have some extra couch/pull out bed/floor space if anyone gets too far gone.

We'll coordinate things over the next couple of weeks. Going to need a rough head count, so post up how many if you're coming. Bought enough meat for 30 at Kelly's camp out and ran out WAY too soon! :D

Mark your calendars and come on out to help us christen the new house!

IN!

I've still got a lot of plastic cups. Finally used up all the plastic ware though. I can buy another box of that, and pick up some plates.

Well, Digi and I are always up for that!

Darc, I think you just left the plasticware at Firewa11's and there may still be lots of it.

Yes, I've inherited the massive box of plasticware. I'm always up for christening the new house Mike, but you might wanna get some plastic tarps :-)

NOT going to do that kind of christening! Everybody hang loose on the date ... I may switch it to the 11th, but I'll let you know by noon tomorrow.

The 11th works for me. If you do it the weekend after the 11th, I can't come.

Sorry, Guys, Alzhimer's setting in!

The party is on the 18th (not the 11th). UPDATE: JUST CHANGED IT BACK TO THE 11TH!!

The weekend of the 10th is at Don and Ann's ... the following weekend, down here. That's the THIRD weekend from now. Hope this didn't throw anyone off too much and would love to have the whole gaggle present. Again, my apologies ... just can't seem to keep dates straight! :-(

oooo, the 18th, that is bad for me. I will be at Texas Motor Speedway from the 17th through the 23rd helping with the Richard Petty Driving Experience. Sounds like I will be out for this one. You guys will need to drink some beers for me.

I don't have a problem with the 11th, I just thought two parties in a row might be tough on some (me!) :-)

OK, the general concensus seems to be that the 18th is bad, the 11th is good. WE'LL SWITCH IT AGAIN!

One last time ... party at MY HOUSE ON THE 11TH!

I used to be a pizza delivery driver, I have connections  . Whenever in doubt ask the local pizza delivery shop, they would know about all the roads in the area (including new ones).

It isn't hard to find, even for you 'tards! :D

I'm just east of Spinks airport, about 1 1/2 minutes from 35 and Alsbury. I'll post up a map that goes off into a field (like DS said, it isn't on any of the GPS maps yet) and directions next week. Hope most of you can make it and we have a fun gathering of the gaggle.

DS, get your Guitar Hero boxed up and we'll play it on the 65" again. The pool table is ready for Jay, so put up or shut up. Don is my assigned Chef's assistant, Blizz is the Jello Shot Girl, BO bring one of those Blow/Suck things (don't ask, don't tell), Jim is traffic director for backing out of the driveway ... God, this is getting to be fun! :-)

Come on out, one and all ... Chris will probably be providing a stunt show in the street just waiting for the Sheriff to show up and haul his ass off. :-o
