Thinking about adding a cigarette adapter to plug stuff into, Radar detector, GPS, IPOD, portable air pump, etc?
Something you might not think of would be a fuse. I'd strongly recomned getting an inline fuse to put between the battery and the adapter. They are cheap and easy to install, I'd say a 5A fuse would be more then enough for any electronics you'd be connecting to a bike. In most cases you could probably get by with a 2A or even a 1A. Just depends on what you plan on connecting to it. You might also consider a switch so that you could completely turn off the power to the adapter.
It'd also be a good idea to tap directly to the battery rather then tapping off of existing wiring.
