More fun riding with a group

Tell us a little about yourself and say hello to the gang. We would like to hear about who, what, and why you ride as well as how you found us.

More fun riding with a group

Post by bmgcya » Sat Mar 14, 2009 7:40 pm

I live in the D/FW area, (Denton actually), and find it hard to meet new people. (They always seem to be going where I just came from twisty wise.)

Thought I'd check it out.

I have only one bike right now...a WIP Honda 600 F-2. It's in the middle of "customizing".

Anyway, hello, and I'm going riding tomorrow...dunno about you guys. 8)

Howdy - welcome to FWMR. I'm planning on riding Mon or Tues myself, if I can find the time.

Welcome to the boards! Get that bike fixed up and check in the Rides section ... there are about to rides popping up, sometimes with very little notice. :-o Hope to get a chance to meet you in person in the next couple of weeks.l

Hey me too. Thanks for the welcome everybody.

I'm about to go do 455 East to past 730 to FM 1922 and back. Leaving here about 11:30am. Good twisty roads. There is one section called "suicide curve"....something like that. Drops about 30 feet into a left hander then a quick and hard lean to the right. If you go...watch those guard rails.

This is out by Eagle's Canyon raceway...Slidell, etc.

Oh, I'm also watching your calendar too of course.

Better make that 12:30 noon. Let it dry up a bit. Still some wet patches.

Thanks, but we do track days all the time. We think it's the safest way to learn how to control your bike at speed.

Also, there ARE a bunch of cops on the board ... they're just not asses about it!

I think you misunderstood me.

I've done a coupla' track days myself. It's just they are not always feasible time wise, to take your bike to it's limits...spirited riding I am talking.

That's all I meant.

As far as cops go...I respect the law and cops.

I just don;t like the ones with things in their sig that say...

"In God we trust, everyone else gets run through NCIC".

You know stuff like that.

Sorry if that came off wrong. :-D
