If it's like one's I've seen before, it actually kills the spark for a split second to make the shift. Simular to when you do it yourself by letting off the throttle to make a clutchless shift.

There are also pnumatic shifters where all you do is push a button but they are used mostly on drag bikes as you have a limited air supply, or have to have a compressor installed to keep the air bottle pressurized.

You just use the shift lever no clutch. It uses the powercommander to interupt the fuel for a split second to allow the shift without clutch and then puts everything back to full power.... You cant even tell it is doing it when shifting under hard acceleration and high rpm. Basically it does what you would do to shift without the clutch. You let off the gas a little pop the sifter into place then roll back on. Only thing is ..... it does it a whole lot quicker and smother.

Ok new update.... I take back what I said about it being rough at lower rpms. The problem was me. I was still letting off the gas like I was going to float the gear myself. Now that I have gotten the feel for it that is not the case anymore. Even when I shift at 4k it is nice and smooth. I would recomend this for anyone reguardless if you are racing or not. Not something you have to get but something that is nice to have.

Well after testing out DD's ride I'm coming to the darkside, that shit was so smooth its like it wasn't even shifting, no jerking or nothing, just a change in sound with a rising speedo.

I noticed the funny shift when I went to blip as well but it wasn't anything to write home about, my brain was on auto pilot and did a couple blips during a shift, just had to tell myself, stop just shift the thing and it was like butter.

Bazzaz Zfi QS on its way, but back ordered (damn it)

I didn't feel the need for traction control, I've only spun it up on a few occasions, couple of those times were on purpose :) just don't think the 750 has the power to warrent TC

Wonder if they will have a plug and play one for the new 14? Havent decided on which bike to get and this is one of the things that keeps it in the balance.

I went with the ZFi QS because it didn't make sense to get the stand alone USB version, because then what do you do with an exhaust, no way to tune it.

If I had a 14 I'd get the one that includes TC with the dial adjustment and map switch.

FYI, SV Racing Parts bought out a quick shifter company. Haven't looked deaply at them but seams like a decent price for a decent product. LINK
