Lets meet up at Haslet at midday. Heres a street level view taken from Onyx looking at Chalkstone:

Heres a google maps aerial shot. The green line is the route we used to take but theres a house partially blocking the trail now. The red line is perfect if the gate is open.

Miles and I always meet at the corner of Chalkstone and Onyx.

Thats great timing Tel. A friend of mine just bought a KDX250 and is keen to get out to the track with us. his needs a new master cylinder - what does yours need?
I tried getting my 14 and 15 yr old nieces interested but there was not even a shred of interest. All they want to do is spend time at the mall.

RELEASE-COMP-CLUTCH

I'm trying like hell to find info on it and from what I can tell, you have to split the case to replace that damn thing.

Actually just found some info on it, looks like if I pull the clutch assembly the comp just lifts out, from what I was reading anyway.

Fixxer found this from a guy here in town. He had an 80 and the 125. The 80's frame was bent pretty bad and the 125 has a broken clutch comp (comp clutch)...I don't know. It is in fairly decent condition and if it only needs to have that fixed than we are good to go. The 14 year old is itching to get it fixed (she is fixing it with Dad's help) because she can't wait to get on and learn!!! Since Fixxer ordered the needed part, once it comes in, they will fix it and hopefully that won't take too long.

That is awsome. And if it has 4 wheels then it is not a bike!

I know...it would be considered a 4-wheeler. You need to hurry and get one so we all can go dirt riding together (with the kids).

Set your PRIORITIES straight man!!!! Just kidding. Fixxer thinks he needs a new rear tire for the track but he is going to need to work it to be able to afford those tires!!

Do you know of any dirt tracks or any stores or what not that offer the DBS MSF course? We want to send our daughter to one but I can't find out where or how much (because the links to the places that offer it, kinda, no longer exist).

I have about 6k miles on mine so I dont think that by the time we go to the track ill have more than a quarter tread left. So I would hate to have to buy tires at the track. That being said ... should I shell out the extra $50 and get perelli's or metzler's..... or save the 50 and go with the Q2's?

I LOVE Q2's, the only problem I have this very moment is I don't know if I have enough tread for them to let me run at the track, but its not time to replace them so I'm currently between a rock and a hard place.

She is super excited to get it up and running. See her studying the manual on how to take the clutch apart? She keeps bugging about when the parts are going to arrive!!!

Yea the guy I picked it up from was saying you have to split the engine case to replace the comp-clutch, all we had to do was pull the push rod out and lift the comp out, easy peesie mac and cheesy

Fixxer took Courtney out to learn to ride her dirt bike tonight. She was told not to shift yet so she could get the feel for the bike but I think she really wanted to rip and tear. She dropped the bike once (knocking a rear fairing off) and wrecked once (digging a hole with the rear tire at the same time). Eventually, she will get it but she did do good tonight.
