This was posted about a month ago, was it not already approved?

I didn't think it had been fully approved.

It passed the House last month. The Senate passed it on Monday.

who cares. It is for speed limits outside city limits anyway, and only if they deem it safe. Doesnt really change anything for me unless I decide to take a trip to west texas.

I'm hoping they change 377 from Benbrook to Granbury to 75. Which is where it had been before.

Hey now, some of us spend most of our riding time outside city limits.

The cool thing for me is that this makes 80 indicated on my Versys legal. Handy for coming back from tours. I wonder if they'll have the signs up on 287 by next Monday?

I wouldn't bet on it. Interstates will probably be the first to get the new signs and even then it'll be a pretty slow change over is my guess.

Might be a good idea to invest in speed limit sign stock.

The law takes effect Sept. 1, 2011. So no, signs won't be posted before then. They will still have to decide which sections of road to change and get the signs made up.

it doesnt really matter anyways for any of us. how many of you actually go the speed limit? It just means when/if i get pulled over for speeding, I'll get busted for 85 in a 75 vs a 80 in an 70. over all it really doesnt matter.

I'm a realist, why beat around the bush about it. Besides, I've done alot worse in public.

Well I think what he is saying is that he would only get a ticket for 10 over. Anything over that is usually well over it and not many would try to stop you for it. At least for me it is either 10 over and chillin or WAY over and flying. I have only been stoped once when going more than 10 over and even then it was only 30ish over which is really out of character for me.
