Re: Cresson 3.1 - June 4
I don't know about the 3.1 yesterday, but the 1.7 today was a blast (again). It was packed (all three levels sold out), and at 101° F ambient temperature, it was nice and cozy. The track was nice and sticky, but it took lots of fluids to keep from getting dehydrated. Fatigue started to set in during the afternoon sessions, and there were lots of crashes in level one. At one point, three riders crashed within ten minutes, causing a red flag and some stern words of caution from Dave. Anyway, tons of fun and sorry to those who missed it. The only other FWMR member out there on Sunday was 03ninjaman, who was the track marshal.
PS: Many thanks to Grinner for helping me to get SV fixed!! You're the man, brother!

No worries man, I saw you had your hands full.
I saw you reading the rights to that one level one rider who got black-flagged after pulling a stunt on those two girls, and then blowing the red flag.
Good work, Sir!

3.1 yesterday was a blast. After having done the 1.3 and the 1.7 separately, the 3.1 is so much more interesting.
Despite the full grids the size of the track means it never felt crowded.
We had a lot of people in L2 who had never done the 1.3 so we had a pretty big disparity in speeds for the first few sessions. Even so, we had very few crashes. One was a mechanical and the other one we thought was caused by cold tires turned out to be caused by a missing radiator cap dousing the track right in front of the rear tire. In both cases there were no injuries. In fact, the EMTs never even moved all day.
It was nice and hot and we kept reminding people to drink lots. I like to think this is why we had so few people leave after lunch. Second last session of the day in the hot pit there was a huge crowd of bikes waiting to get on the track.
With the large number of people wanting assistance I didnt get a single lap on my own but it was fantastic fun.

Only had one injury today someone had a compound fracture to his pinky finger. Other then that one engine blow, & 2 ride offs. One guy lost his muffler in the middle of the track. Had about 6 off & ons. Over all wasn't that bad. But I do believe enough liquids was part of the problem. People also were pushing to hard.

Oh ya & no bunch ups fixed that early in the day. Started black flagging the slow riders & putting them with instructors until they were staying inside & allowing people to pass or brought there selves up to speed.

Safer than dodging cagers, accidents can happen as soon as you leave your couch.NickS wrote:reading about the general mayhem late at night makes me worry about my bike getting messed up

If you don't ride over your head you wont have any problems.

Exactly. Plus, I've even pulled my back out while sitting on the couch.03ninjaman wrote:If you don't ride over your head you wont have any problems.
