Afterwork Ride - Thursday - 6-30 - Sonic 6:30pm

Post by DarcShadow » Mon Jun 27, 2011 9:07 am

I'll be leading another afterwork ride leaving Sonic at 6:30.

Not sure on the route yet but I'll try to work it so we're are back into town, or at least near a major highway before it gets too dark. Might just do my "standard" after work route, we'll see.

You mean she doesn't already carry them around in her purse?

I thought that is how it worked :HeadScratch:

She usually keeps them at the house in a safe that only she has the key for.

Sooo - I went by Sonic this evening. Around 6:30pm. Just to make sure that its still where it has always been. And to drink some iced tea. Not because I thought the ride was today or anything. I just really like their iced tea. And the gas at the Valero down there is my favorite anyway. Yep. Traffic wasn't bad either. Not stop 'n' go or anything at all. Just a fun short ride to Sonic and back.

You must really be wanting to go for a ride just go ALL the way up there for an iced tea :SideSplittingLaughter:

I'm telling you, their iced tea is the best! Not Sonic's in general, just that particular location! :-) :SideSplittingLaughter:

I am sure that if you really wanted to go for a ride and wanted company, someone would have went. You didn't have to ride all the way up there to get an iced tea in the hopes that someone else would be there waiting to go for a ride :GoofballLOL: Next time all you have to do is ask. :GeneSimmons:

The problem was not the lack of fellow riders, but rather a problem of overabundance. I rode there and back with literally hundreds of drivers and riders. In fact, there were so many of us, it made progress on I-30 utterly damn slow.

Yeah, and since he went there for ice tea; he didn't send me a text message confirming the ride at 6:30, only to get a response that said "Thursday AKA tomorrow"

Give the guy a break, he's a scientist. He's not supposed to keep up with stuff like what day it is. :D

Indeed! Some weekdays I even pretend its a weekend, and head up to MSRC to do a Lone Star or Eurosport track day. My employer seems to understand (strong emphasis on seems!). :D

I'm glad you included the proper time zone, as all of my watches are usually set to mountain time. :D

Sounds like I'm going to have a big after work ride again. What, you all figure since it's a short ride I have less time to find gravel? Just you wait, we're taking Bear road tonight. mwhaaahaaahaaa :-x
