Re: The Q2 review
No, it's still pretty much the case, the new track just doesn't wear down the tires are hard. Partly due to the surface, partly due to the flatter/less off camber turns.

Re: The Q2 review
Just an update, I'm past 3,000 miles on my Q2's and they are looking good, a little flat down the middle but not to the point they are really affecting tip in yet.
I'm seeing some odd wear marks on the sides, like micro rips accross the tire but they are small, could have been caused by some sliding on that chip seal crap I suppose.
Getting a little bit of wrinkle on the shoulder but no missing chunks of rubber like I had with those last tires of which we do not speak their name.
Lots of those miles are 42 psi highway miles
The only slides I've had were when I had my head up my rear gawking around and touched the yellow line, one tar snake on FM5, and some chip seal garbage the front start to slide a little, but that may have been my fault for not having proper throttle roll on.
Otherwise, at this point, I'm saying from here on out these are my new tires from now on.

Re: The Q2 review
Well I am at just a little over 5,300 miles on mine and it is about the same as yours. Some spots that are as you would say micro rips... kinda remind ya of dry rot. Also the front tire is wearing a little weard but Ill get yall opinion at bikenight on that. Other than that the tires seem to be wearing fine. Probably will end up with about 10k miles before I replace them. Maybe a little less as I might replace them before going to the track on the 1st but we will see. Not sure im sold on this being my tire for now on but still an outstanding choice.

Re: The Q2 review
What are the price range for the q2's?
Random stuff I say:
Women are like square roots, if they're under 17 you just have to do them in your head.
What would you be if you were attached to another object by an incline plane, wrapped helicly around an axis?

Re: The Q2 review
You can get them all day for about $250/set.
Re: The Q2 review
Yeah, one of the most economical set of tires, between price, performance, etc... they blow 2CT's out of the water IMHO so far.

Re: The Q2 review
I got my corsa's for about that as well and love them. They are also lighter then the Q2s.

Re: The Q2 review
Ok, so i have the Q2 in the front and the back. What pressure do you run on the street vs track for the front and rear.

42/42 street, ran 30/30 for track but I am thinking that was too low, these things heat up easy

Re: The Q2 review
Just goes to show the difference from bike to bike - rider to rider. On my SV650, with both of its raging horsepower, I run my Q2's at 25 front 27 rear for cold days, 27/29 when its over 90 degrees. Less than that and they get torn up. More than that and they dont get any heat build up and feel skatey. And I still havent pushed them enough to get them to slide on smooth asphalt.

Re: The Q2 review
I ran 30/32 on the track as Rc30 suggested and it worked wonderful. I would also like to say I loved the way these felt at the track!
