New bike!

Post by Fender943 » Wed Feb 08, 2012 6:43 pm

I finally upgraded from my 500 and picked up a 1986 Ninja 1000r. I'm currently waiting on tires, chain and sprockets.. It looks like it won't be ready for at least a week. The bike was stored for about 15 years and recently came out of storage 6 months ago.

Nice! Does this mean you will be bringing her to the next bike night or possibly next club ride?

I'll probably get the bike back on Tuesday. So unfortunately I won't be able to make it.
My tires have to be shipped from Wisconsin because no one stocks the 120/80 16 & 150/80 16 tires for the bike. I've also found out that parts are EXTREMELY hard to find.

This is what I get for buying a dinosaur..

Yeah, that bike looks very nice and clean. And I think it qualifies for the "classic" plate too :-)

Such a good solid bike!

Yes i know top gun is a 900 but hey close enough!

That GSXR was a ground up garage build for me. My first time to do EVERYTHING myself. Machined parts and all. Fun for sure!

That +service had better include a valve check or you're getting robbed.
