We try to avoid this. The ride leader will give a brief prior to the start of the ride, but we like to try and keep things tight and not "rubber band" like that, so the ride leader can keep an eye on everyone and make sure the group stays together. They'll explain it better during the ride brief, but we like to keep the "rubber band" affect as an indicator to when something has gone wrong.

I will say though, that some of us club members will do this occasionally but we keep the distance to a visible site, so we can play catchup through the upcoming couple of corners. Join us for a ride or two, so we can all get comfortable riding with each other, then come hang out in the back of the pack with a couple of us.

Top speed is pointless. Anyone can go fast in a straight line. Some of the most fun I've had are on segments of road where if you were able to get up to 30mph you were haulling, and probably going way to damn fast anyway.

Fast for conditions is much more interesting then top speed any day of the week. Also why I dropped from the liter bikes. You can't leagly use all of it, and 95% of the roads I ride you wouldn't want to evey try. I can pass liter bikes at the track on a 600 all day long and it's a blast. Even more impressive is when the two up on a touring bike passes the liter bikes. :SideSplittingLaughter:

Great ride RLIT!!! Thanks to all the noobs to FWMR club riding to show up and have some fun with us!!

Bewst, I am absolutely thrilled you finally came out for a ride. :D You did great and I hope you continue to come back (that goes for all you guys out there today with us)!!!

Other than Stardog82 trying to achieve an achievement that is NOT on the achievements page and Grinner trying to make the ride a little interesting for him (he must have been purty bored out there) and Fireblade airing out his damn armpits (I could smell them from behind you!!!) the ride was enjoyable. It was a nice little route with a happy ending :D :D :SideSplittingLaughter:

Now we just wait for the video to see what it looks like from Fixxer's swingarm :D

Thanks to everyone that showed up and rode with me!!!! I hope we can do it again!! :-D
