I'd recommend trying on something else in Alpinestars before you pull the trigger on a size. They are 'weird' sized. The two-peice I got from a buddy is two different sizes because of the drastic differences in the way they fit.

A stars are made for skinny guys too... When I tried one on before getting my Dainese, I couldn't even pull it up over my legs all the way

Yeah, but as with most manufacturers they are not designed for anyone with any extra poundage. As the sizes increase they assume you're taller. So you get pants that fit your waist and butt just right, but find the shin armor is at your feet.

AGV does!! the only problems I have with my AGVs is the calf area and shoulder area, everything else fits well.
Random stuff I say:
