Interesting, what do they use?
Per the 2013 MotoGP rules (FIM)
Section 2.8.7 (page 131): Helmets must be of the full face type (integral) and conform to one
of the recognised international standards:
• Europe: ECE 22-05 ‘P’
• Japan: JIS
• USA: SNELL M 2010

So, they will take SNELL and ECE, just has to be up to the right revision standard (my Shoei X11 manufactured in 2008 is SNELL M 2000, not 2010).

Interesting that they list SNELL as being a USA standard.
Stopped by the track yesterday, there was a supercar rental thing happening out there. $159 for three laps in a supercar (Lambo, Ferrari,Audi, Porsche). Asked if I could use my own helmet as opposed to the loaners they had there that 20 million people before you had worn. The said yes as long as it was not a Snell M designation.

Question? If its been tested that a Snell M designated help can protect my noggin should it impact the ground in a motorcycle accident, Why won't it do the same in a cage (where your strapped in and the chances of your head hittin something are greatly reduced)?

What are the differences between the SA, M and K standards?

The SA standard was designed for competitive auto racing while the M standard was for motorcycling and other motorsports. The K standard was released to accommodate helmets used in karting. There are three major differences between them:
1.The SA standard requires flammability test while the M and K standards do not.
2.The SA and K standards allow for a narrower visual field than the M standard (Some SA and K certified helmets may not be street legal).
3.The SA and K standards include a rollbar multi-impact test while the M standard does not.

Ok. to your OP. I have a 7-0-7 helmet and like it. As fireblade said, not much on the airflow, so I prefer it in the winter, to keep the cold air out. Noto much else to say about it, good helmet.

My Xpeed carbon has tons of airflow, but due to that it is noisy. Wouldn't want to use it in the rain. Even with all the vents closed, it still flows air.
