Just moved from St. Louis

Post by Gixxer6Drake » Fri Aug 01, 2014 3:39 pm

Hey guys - just moved back to TX from St. Louis, MO. Originally from San Antonio. Experienced street/track rider always down for a good weekend ride, but I'm not a fan of interstate/city riding. Backroads, twisties, sweepers, and lots of leaning are my cup of tea. Currently living in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas, but I'm willing to make the trip for the ride(rs). Hope to see you out there!

Welcome to the boards. Keep an eye on the rides section (club rides) and the bike night section (under club events). There is a ride tomorrow that departs from Sonic in White Settlement at 9am...you are welcome to join us.

Awesome. Would I be overdressed in full leathers? (Haven't gotten around to getting a mesh suit for this TX heat.) What's the route like?

Well be heading southeast toward Stephenville. It's only supposed to be 90° so leathers might not be too bad. Are they at least perforated? I will be wearing jeans and a mesh jacket. This will be a moderate ride so we won't be pushing hard. I expect the ride to be about 4 or 5 hours.

Before I got mesh (from cycle gear), I always dressed in full leathers. It will be fine especially since the high will be in the 80's.

Good deal. I should be there barring any last minute hiccups.

Check out the ride classification. Even on the slower rides I've become use to wearing full leathers.

I'm always either full leathers, or leather jacket and jeans.

Love the color combo of the bike.
