Monthly Club Moderate Ride - Saturday, 9/26

Post by LonestarCBR » Tue Sep 22, 2015 1:10 pm

Subject: September Moderate - Saturday, September 26...yes, 2015.

FWMR Club Ride

Meetup: Sonic on Clifford St. in White Settlement (viewtopic.php?f=25&t=842" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)
Kick stands up: 9:30 a.m. sharp
Ride Leader: LonestarCBR

This will be a Moderate pace ride. Moderates are great for riders who want a slightly faster pace than beginners but still slow enough to be relaxed and comfortable on any sized bike, with a passenger, or learning to ride with the group. The pace for a moderate ride is at or near posted speed limits. On a Moderate ride the ride leader tries to keep a closer eye on the group and adjust the speeds appropriately.

Please be dressed appropriately: helmet, jacket, gloves, over the ankle shoes and long pants.

Bike condition: chain adjusted properly, sufficient tire tread, fully fueled and ready to ride.

EDIT:
Ride will be in a southwesterly direction, with a total Sonic to Sonic loop of approximately 250-ish miles. First stop at 48 miles (1 hour), 2nd stop at 49 miles (97 miles total, gas up). Lunch at Horny Toad in Cranfils Gap, next gas stop in 64 miles, then 70 miles back to Sonic. ETA back at Sonic in Fort Worth 3:00-ish, and of course there will be options to head home quicker as suits your schedule.

Greg, just take I-35W north to 1-20 west then stay on I-820 north when I-20 splits off, you're on the west side of Fort Worth. In a couple of miles exit Clifford, left on Clifford at the light, Sonic on the right about 1/2 mile down the road...easy to get to and to find. You're about 22 miles away, give or take. Hope to see you there.

Brian, nice to meet you. Good job today also. Thanks for coming along and hope to see you out again. The Diavel Dark is sweet.

Tyler, hope to see more of you. Nice Repsol CBR. Sorry you had to cut out so early.

John (Kaboiz), nice to finally meet you also and glad you were able to make it out for the ride. Really nice RC51. It sounds just about perfect and is sexy to look at to boot.

Greg (v927c), good to see you again. Glad it worked out where you could stay for the entire ride. I'm a big Blackbird fan, cool to have one in the club.

Alex (Benitez1117), good to finally ride with you, look forward to many more.

Nick (nchemello), good to see you out again today. Hope you made it home okay, and on time.

Pat (Pooty), great as always, thanks for all your support, and thanks for riding tail today.

Nice ride today, great weather, good food, and good friends (old and new). Look forward to the next time.
