I agree, not having a place to store a trailer is what keeps me renting getting a U-haul trailer or muscling bikes into the bed of the truck.

Go ahead and invest in a nice ramp and you won't be sorry. Also backing up to a curb to get that extra few inches of reduced height from bed to ground can make a big difference in how easy a bike is to load.

I absolutely agree. From level ground It is hell pushing a sport bike up in the truck if I'm alone. There are a couple nice elevations at MSRC that make loading a cake walk. Good point Darc.

Push? Screw that. Walk up beside it as you idle it up the ramp. Don't give it any gas, just feather the clutch so the bike slowly goes up the ramp.

ya, Ive done it that way, last fall on I20 it was just me at 0530 and I was able to get the bike loaded alone, If you have an extra hand or two it works great. I have also seen that plan go south...

Saw a guy a Cresson loading using the engine while it was raining, rear wheel lost traction and he dropped it. Shouldn't be a problem with a good ramp though. Also, get the arched ramps so you lessen the risk of high center when you transition into the bed. Also, YouTube is full of entertaining and informative examples of how NOT to load your bike into a pickup.

Optimal Racing fairings on the SV650S. Still need to paint them. This was just the fitment install.

*rant on*

I was going to get a 600 track bike this year, but somehow the ex-wife f'd that up for me by not paying her portion of the 2013 taxes which was the last time we filed jointly. The IRS took my refund to pay what she owed and since she will never get a refund she didn't give a sh*t. She finally paid it though so this won't happen next year. Been divorced over two years and still dealing with her BS.

Ramps? All you need is 2 decently strong people and 1 helper. Lift it into the truck!

That's an expensive option. Unless you can use it for something else.

Most recent purchase thread!

New tool box.
More tattoos

I think I mentioned the Honda Pilot FL400. Pic below. Finally took it out. 400 two stroke motor...very fast and stupid fun. I can see how a helmet and the full harness is needed now.

It is a manual trigger type, but in addition to time it does max and average speed over the lap and over multiple laps. It was also pretty expensive, probably too expensive for a lap timer.

Here is a pic of the lap timer display

Apparently it also comes with a motorcycle, so I have that now too.
