My Nexus 6P, which I really liked a lot, started acting up right after I let the Android update to 8.0.0 and it just became less and less reliablefartymarty wrote:dufremle wrote:Nice. for phone calls yet as I didn't get any protection plan, so I want it in a protective case before I start carrying it around with me.
When that arrives I'll activate it and see if it's as good a phone as it is a mini computer.
So far it blows my Samsung Galaxy Victory LTE (4GB) out of the water, but then only a flip phone wouldn't be able to do that.
until it just quit by going into a white letter display of Google going on and off over and over. It wouldn't boot up so I couldn't clear the cache or anything.
I tried the bootloader menu but the Recovery mode doesn't work nor the Start option.
Warranty was only a year and I didn't get the protection plan because I thought that was only for those that couldn't take care of a phone (like my son).
I saw something similar on the internet where they have the phone doing it's reboot over and over while they heat it up with a hair dryer
and eventually it boots after 4 of the 8 cores quit working because of the heat, just so you can upload data off of it before you toss it.
I have no idea or understanding of why that would work but I'll try that soon, meanwhile...
......my most recent purchase is a Galaxy Note 8 (with insurance this time ) Supposedly the battery is fixed (?)
