853 cc I think. I do not have all the luggage. From a safety perspective, I am leaning towards soft cases for the sides.

The world needs Miles
Sometimes you gotta draw the line, but that doesn't mean it can't be squiggly-miles

In that range. One review described them as 60-40, others 50-50.

Wait, what now? I'm pretty sure those are even worse in the sand than your KLR. Unless you bought it for the engine and you are making a sand rail.

when in doubt power out, should have plenty of grunt to sail on top the sand.

Re: Most recent purchase thread!
Two questions...
Did you get the B model?
Are you going to tow the jeep to Utah with it?
Ok three questions...
Where are the pics?

Not the B model, just the regular one
The only way I'd tow a jeep is flat tow and my jeep isn't setup for that
Haven't taken any pics yet, I gotta get it turned around in my garage and that's going to require making some room. I can't pick it up and spin it like I did the GS

Re: Most recent purchase thread!
So, is it more expensive being a Jeep guy than a MC guy? I'm thinking back when you had like 8 bikes.

Re: Most recent purchase thread!
On the cap-ex side yes, on the op-ex side, no.
well... I dunno actually I'd have to think about that. When I was doing several track days a year and going through tires and all.. hmm, I'd have to build a spreadsheet, and that means really looking at what I spend on hobbies and that's never a good idea.
I think bang for buck op-ex wise I get more value out of the jeep. I can haul 3 people to utah and have a good time for a relatively inexpensive family trip.
The problem I have with the jeep is when you load it with 3 people space becomes a premium so ya start spending real money to "make it work" vs just throwing a bargain brand item in the back and hitting the road. I have $2,000 worth of battery kit in it alone. Do you need that? no, there are MUCH cheaper alternatives but the expensive one gets me the best space value I can get, it's all self contained under the hood. A jeeper of 1 or 2 could solve the same problem a number of ways for a fraction of the cost.
