Name the MSRC 1.3 Turns!

Post by Striple » Mon Jun 04, 2012 8:47 am

I remember we tried this before, but it didn't really stick. The turns numbers on the 1.3 are confusing, mostly because there are more turns than are traditionally numbered (6). It would be a lot easier if we could give them names that will stick, at least on this forum.

My suggestions are as follows:

Turn 1: Flag (looks a bit like the top of a flag in the wind)
Turn 2:
Turn 3: Hairpin
Turn 4: Carrousel
Turn 5: Rail (for some reason, the two seams are really important landmarks in that turn)
Turn 6:

I got nothin' for turns 2 & 6. Also, it seems like the turn over the hill deserves a separate designation as well. 'Faith' might be appropriate.

Any other suggestions?

Turn 2: downhill

This is the turn that leads to the straight that is down hill, over the rumble strips that leads to hairpin

at least that's how i see it

Would you like me to provide the names that most people use out there for the corners?

I thought that was a reference for one of the turns.

Yeah, we really need some standardized names for those turns. The ones that sckego posted were never adopted either.

Miles should be pretty used to that.

I almost like numbers better, but then I think of climbing routes, those are always named, and the names don't always have to make sense, some walls and crags are themed.

Like, dog wall in Oklahoma, every route is dog themed, could be a name or something but it's related to dogs.

It appears the posted picture theme is sex for naming the turns.

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.

I personally disagree with one name. Outie should be G-Spot, because if you hit it just right you go WHEEEE!!! all the way down the hill.
