Moderate Ride - 3-9

Post by DarcShadow » Thu Mar 07, 2013 8:41 am

If the weather holds off, I'll be leading the monthly ride this Saturday. We will leave Sonic at 11:00 and will not have a lunch stop, so eat before we leave. Ride will be 4 to 5 hours.

There's a strong chance of thunderstorms so check the boards before you leave Saturday morning. I'll post up by 10:00 if the ride is still on or not.

I'm out and I thought you rode rain or shine? Is it the thunderstorms that may deter you?

Well the roads are wet at my place but the weather map doesn't show anything near us right now. It's a tuff call, I really don't care for riding on wet roads but they could be dry on the route. :HeadScratch:

The weather really doesn't look like it's going to get any better as the day goes on so I think I'm going to call off this ride. Sorry all, I really don't care to ride wet roads if I can avoid it.

I got to work at 6AM to find a catastrophic failure and nothing to do but wait on parts but I wasn't going to go anyway what with the roads being all wet so I took the opportunity to do some work on the bike instead. How are we looking for tomorrow? :)

I checked the weather earlier and decided this wasn't good riding weather for me this weekend.

Funny that yesterday turned out to be a great riding day, but I didn't get out either. I expected it to start dumping buckets any time and it held off until 1am here.

I played around on the DRZ. Found some old home sites with big transitions between the yards. Got some good jumps. The mean, stray pits are still there though.

I was going to post up an intermediate but it's track weekend, no one will show. Chances are good I'll be at ECR playing track bitch Saturday, Sunday is up in the air.

I'm teaching. You might hit up Jim and see if he'll do a ride up to ECR.

Ok, I will ask the dumb question. What is a track bitch? And what are a track bitch's responsibilities?

Track bitch is the bitch that runs around and gets all the stuff the rider wants/needs. :)
