Howdy from the sticks.
Thanks to the guys who visited Hard 8 BBQ and turned me on to your club. I don't recall names, but a Hayabusa, ZX14, GSXR750 and Daytona 675. And no, they weren't lost.
I've probably been riding longer than a great deal of the members have been breathing, but I'm proud to say that no matter how much I rode or didn't ride over the past several years, I've always had a functioning bike, and I simply refuse to "grow up", completely at least.
I live out in the sticks (Stephenville), and I've noticed you guys like to ride a lot of my favorite roads. I actually spent two hours and 130 miles riding on a Saturday morning recently, and was never more than 30 or so miles from home. Gotta love that...but the damn grasshoppers were it full-on attack mode.
Current bikes:
2012 Triumph Speed Triple - just purchased this summer, and I LOVE it! Just finishing up the break-in period. My wife, bless her heart, walked over to the sales guy and said "we'll take it", before I ever made my mind up (okay, before I ever actually thought it was possible). Actually, I'm still in shock. Yep, she's a keeper.
1990 Honda CBR1000F - original owner, still a sweet machine, 26,000 miles, to this day a 9 out of 10.
Previous bikes:
1983 Honda CX650T Turbo
1984 Kawasaki Ninja 900 (sweet ride, until it dropped a valve)
1984 Yamaha Maxim 650 (okay, I was just doing some swapping with this one)
1982 Yamaha Seca 650 Turbo (no wastegate, and a wheelie monster when you hit 2nd)
1982 Yamaha Seca 750
1981 Honda CB750F Supersport (my first moto lust)
1978 Honda CB750F Supersport
1978 Honda CB550 Four (yep, four shiny chrome mufflers - slow as a slug, but it was a start)
1970 Honda CT70 Mini-trail
Current "cage" is a '10 BMW 335i, a pretty sweet ride if you gotta take four wheels. Also have a 2011 Jeep Liberty 4x4 (company car), but hey, at least it's "trail-rated".

Was it Will or me who met you? I met someone there awhile back, but I don't think it was this ride now that I see who was in it. Either way I hope to possibly meet you again

Re: Howdy from the sticks.
The guy on the 675 gave me the card, a couple of months ago, and was wearing a sweet Arai Corsair (white / green / red I think, maybe a Haga Monza 2).milesmiles wrote:Was it Will or me who met you?
