*MOVED DATE* Intermediate Ride - Saturday November 2nd

Yeah I get that. I'm getting gear for Xmas though and my car will be paid off around Jan or Feb so if I'm not able to pay in full when I find what I want I was going to put a big down payment down so I can finance it for low payments. Will there be any track days coming up in Cresson again? Or not until it warms back up in the spring? I've been looking at the fz6r. What do y'all think of that bike? It's got the same seat height as the 250 which is a plus for me lol.

Lots of good gear deals to be had right now if you beat the bushes on the net looking. The earlier you look the better, sooner or later there is only XXL or XXXL stuff left, and I'm guessing by your comments that's not you. Moto Liberty in Dallas has some good deals right now also, and a ton of stuff to shop through. Haven't noticed any great deals at other bike shops so far, they're way stingier with their margins usually, and no where near as much inventory. And yes, the bike you mentioned would be cool. Plenty of power, and it fits your stature...if you like it, that's all that matters. And you'll be able to keep up with the Suzuki's, at least.

Well...I upgraded. I was going to wait until next year, but I was talking to a salesman at Honda Kawasaki West, and Honda is apparently releasing a CBR 300 any time now, which would obviously affect my trade in value of my 250 a lot. Did some shopping around and ended up getting a good deal with low payments for a white 2013 fz6r from Larry Garrison at Freedom Powersports in Weatherford. Drove it off the lot with 0 mi on it which was pretty cool, but I'm trying to contain myself as much as possible while the engine is breaking in lol. Unfortunately, now I won't be going to the ridesmart next weekend since I will only have had a week of experience on a new bike by then and don't want to be putting that much stress on the engine yet. Psyched about the bike though, I've been interested in this exact bike color and all since I came across it over the summer. Feels great for me, same seat height as the 250 but is narrower so I can get both feet on the ground. Plenty of power (for me at least), smooth clutch, super comfortable, what else could I ask for! Also noticed that while it has an upright position like the 250, it seems to have better air flow because it hasn't been as loud as it was sometimes on the 250. Already have a tank pad on its way to me too! Oh, and I took it to the motorcycle show with my dad today and saved a lot on insurance getting it from Progressive there at the show instead of Farmer's where Larry recommended me to.
