Powder coating isn't going to be a business for me, just a hobby that I'm willing to share. Don't even have close to the necessary equipment to do anything "professional", although I was very pleased at how the track shackles turned out. I'll be interested to hear how they hold up under use.

Yes. It was a fabricator that used to work with/for Scott at Cyclewerkz. PitBull copied his design, and tweaked it to avoid being sued. I think you can still order them through Cyclewerkz.

Edit: Found the website for them... http://www.ststands.com/main.cfm

Hmmm. I've read the instructions, looked at the pics, and the Pit-Bull sure looks to be more user-friendly, though it is a little more expensive. I wish he had a video showing it in use, that would possibly help assure I don't have any misconceptions.

There use to be one some place. I can't recall where I saw it though, and I can't get to the ststands web page from work.

Tie-downs

apparently Moto-D is a sole retailer for him now... they have a video on their front page if you use this link http://www.ststands.com

Here's a couple of videos I found. The first one is the original STS video...

The Pit-Bull sure appears to be more user-friendly, and secure. Thanks for both links, that helped a lot.

I looked at the price for the STS and it was actually more expensive for the SV: Transport stand $259, SV axle bar kit $69, and mounting kit, $45. That's $373 where the PitBull kit for the SV was $299.95.

Bummer, always nice to support local, but when the price difference is that large it's kind of hard.
