Moderate Ride Sunday July 26th.

Post by Dragonfly » Fri Jul 24, 2015 5:27 am

FWMR Ride Sunday July 26

Meetup: Sonic on Clifford St. in White Settlement
Kick stands up: 8:00 AM
Ride Leader: Dragonfly

This will be a Moderate pace ride. Moderates are great for riders who want a slightly faster pace than beginners but still slow enough to be relaxed and comfortable on any sized bike, with a passenger, or learning to ride with the group. The pace for a moderate ride is at or near posted speed limits. On a Moderate ride the ride leader tries to keep a closer eye on the group and adjust the speeds appropriately.

Please be dressed appropriately, helmet, gloves, over the ankle shoes and long pants.

Should be in on this one as well. Nothing but motorcycle rides this weekend. Perfect

Maybe. Depends on how I recover from today's ride and if I can get up on time.

Bike started fine this morning. Made it to the Murphys in front of Walmart next to Sonic, and the bike wouldn't restart. A good samaritan help out (jumper cables & a truck) bike fires up. I cancel the club ride and ride home. Get home shut the bike off and restart it half a dozen times no problems.

My guess is the S3 didn't want to go out today. I'll pull the battery and get it tested.

Two things you need to check. Stator and regulator. Yes the bike can sometimes start later with those out

Sometimes you gotta draw the line, but that doesn't mean it can't be squiggly-miles

That lose negative connection could have caused an issue, too. Working around while riding I bet it wasn't getting a good charge. Test the battery and charging system then go from there.
