Hello everyone

Post by toy752 » Tue Nov 08, 2011 1:08 pm

I just wanted to stop by and say hello. I have been looking for some people to ride with. I did find a group but all they wanted to do was travel HIGH speeds and that wasnt for me. I have been riding for about 7 months now on my 2010 Kawasaki Ninja 650r. I bought it off the show room floor with 0 miles on the clock I now have over 10000. I found this site from a guy on RiderForums.com.

10,000 miles in 7 months, very impressive. We have a bike night this week, and there should be a ride this weekend, come on out and join us.

Welcome to the boards and since you can't make this bike night maybe you can make December's bike night (December 8th). Yeah, 10K in 7 months is pretty impressive. Is that all local riding or out of state riding? I would hope that that is not all commuter miles :-D

Most are commuter miles. I have made a trip with my wife down to New Braunfels. I also went down to Corpus Christi by myself on it.

You must ride every day. Distance to my job is 28 miles one way but most mornings, I am still asleep when I hit the road (it is 4:45am when I leave) and sometimes it is too cold for me, so I opt to drive my car instead. Well, I hope that you can make a club ride sometime with us and hope to meet you (maybe this thursday) at bike night.

You totally need to come to the dark side (riding the track). You might like it. :D

Yes I drive everyday because it is my only means of to get to work for now. I am working on the engine for my 1987 toyota 4runner.

I dont know about track riding. That just leads to me racing and my wife wont have it. I already have a racing hobby!!! I race a 2007 Kawasaki SXR stand up!!!

Ah, you can do trackdays with out becoming a racer. I've been running track days for 6 years now and have only had a fleeting interest in racing. It's just to damn expensive, where as trackdays are rather cheap, easy, and fun.

There are a few racers in the club (I don't know how often they do race) but they do occassionally go enjoy a track day just to have fun. No racing is necessary and there are instructors to help you improve in what areas you want or need improvement in to become a better rider. Plus, the wife can come out and be your track support with a lot of the other wives (until they get bikes and their hubbies become their track support :D).

Welcome. What kind of work are you doing on the 4 runner? I am no expert but I have some skills. Problem is usually time for me but I might be able to help a lil.

I have been rebuilding the 22re. The engine is together for the most part. I am also changing it from automatic to standard. It should have been done a year ago but time has been a problem for me this year because I have been working to much. I may just take you up on that offer when it comes time to put everything back together.

This is my 2010 Kawasaki Ninja 650R when I first got her. Now after 7 months and 10000 miles she has blemishes but is still awesome!!!
