Sena 20S issues

I went to turn on my Sena 20S this afternoon and it would not turn on. It showed 4 flashes (full charge) after the last ride, so I know the battery was not close to being depleted. I plugged it into the charger to see if was dead, but it wouldn't charge. I even plugged it inot Rick's portable battery and it would recognize the device for a few seconds, then show that nothing was connected. Has anyone else had this issue?

I opened a ticket with Sena so we'll see what they have to say.

One of these (my friend Ricky's) was crap from the start. Sena replaced it. Sounds about like the same issue. He had it working, then it wouldn't.

Firewa11's should be coming back from Sena soon for the quirky stuff that was going on with it. It would be nice to see if Sena would come back and say what the problem was, just for geekiness' sake. The only logical conclusion we could draw was that the pins between the headset and the helmet mount were not fully connecting, even though for all intents and purposes it seemed to be. But maybe all the electronic issues going on are related and it was just a bad batch of Sena's that came off the line. I think there should be a Sena 20s achievement.

I tried a couple of things they suggested, but the unit is still dead. They want me to return it. Hopefully it doesn't take too long.

I was able to replicate / duplicate the issue between two different bases, to nail down that it was the unit itself. If you can duplicate the issue, you might try that, and update the ticket so you don't have to do all of that. I should have my RMA'd unit this week. It took 2-3 weeks to go through the RMA process.

Yes, I know. Mine will not turn on, which is why it is going back. It also won't charge.

Yes, unfortunately we don't offer 20S main unit replacements only.

Don, did you have to return all of that or just the main unit?

I just shipped all of it to Sena. They better return all of it.

Ricky has to return all of his, and he got a completely new unit back, with everything included.

Cool. I'm just worried that they might only ship the unit and forget about the rest of it. Either way, I doubt I will get it back before the Big Bend trip.
