If you haven't ridden the water cooled GS do yourself a favor and do so before you decideMVRider wrote:Okay I have been talking about my next bike for a bit and always said it would be the BMW Adventure but I'm not rethinking it....damn.

The base version of that drone is about $2000 and he probably has another couple of grand or so in controllers, batteries, and camera upgrades.Turismon wrote:I want the drone, so we can get some pimp ass video like that lol.

You can get some pretty decent camera drones for under $200. The one I have was only about $100, camera is not create so taking high quality video is out, but it is a good quad for learning on.

If you fly a drone be aware of the new FAA rules, like, but not limited to...
Register drones over half a pound
Keep it within line of sight
Keep it under 400' AGL
Notify airport operators within 5 miles; notification, but permission is not required. Many private or restricted air fields do not have an easy way to notify them, I think there are apps that supposedly handle this digitally, but I haven't tried them.
Get permission to fly in controlled airspace (class B,C,D, or E) usually around more significant airports. For example, the class B around DFW that starts at the surface includes a radius of 7NM minimum and up to 10NM to the north. It extends further than that but the floor starts stepping up the further from the airport. This isn't as onerous as it sounds, there is an online portal.
You can get around some of these requirements by getting a Remote Pilot Certificate, or by having a pilot's license that is current.
Of course I think it is pretty unlikely that anyone is going to take notice and make a fuss unless you are being a jerk or flying dangerously.

I'll still ride it since the BMW was always my top pick. But I hear the power and weight of these give them an advantage off road. But will ride both before making that move.fixxervi6 wrote:MVRider wrote:Okay I have been talking about my next bike for a bit and always said it would be the BMW Adventure but I'm not rethinking it....damn.
