Moderate Ride Saturday July 31

Post by DarcShadow » Mon Jul 26, 2010 3:26 pm

I will lead a moderate (possibly a quick moderate) ride Saturday. As requested the departure will be a bit later then our normal summer rides, we will leave Sonic at 8:30.

Route and lenght are TBD at this point.

Nope, one-year old battery. Might have been degraded back when the stator went out though, which may have shortened its lifespan.

Ok a route has been planned. Ride will be about 5 hours with a stop for Pie in Godley and "ending" on I35 at Burleson. It should be about 2.5 hour ride to Godley so if you need so split off early you can do so rather easily from there.

Also, be be advised we ask that you wear proper gear for club rides. http://www.fwmr.net/Guidelines.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
You will be asked to go home if the ride leader is uncomfortable with your gear and/or your bike's mechanical condition (cords showing on tires would be a bad thing).

Will any single leg of the trip be greater than 100 miles? I'd like to take the Z, but it has a short range due to 4 gallon tank.

Shouldn't be, you should be fine.

4 gallons is pretty norm for sport bikes. Most liter bikes can do around 130 on a tank, 600's can get closer to 150.
