Nope, I have some bilt that I use for street and A* airs for track. The A*'s make great winter boots, not a shred of air flow.

Yes, I use the Sidi Vertigo, which is a very similar model, for the track. They're very sturdy and very popular with track riders.

For the street I prefer to use touring boots, as they are much more comfortable than track boots.

I know it is more of a track boot. I am looking at getting a new bike this fall and making my 650 a track bike. I am building my track gear inventory up. When I work some overtime I buy a new piece of gear.

Cool. You may want to consider doing one at Cresson next month. The cost is very tame (~$140) for what you get out of it, and a lot of us are going to be there to help you with prepping your bike, etc. Otherwise, there are going to be plenty more track days throughout the year, so there will be ample opportunity to get on the track.

I don't have leathers as of yet. All I have now is a mesh jacket and joe rocket textile pants. As of right now I don't think my gear is up to the task. I live only 30 minutes from Cresson and always wanted to go there.

gear rental is free for first timers if you wanted to do it..... also if you dont want to go on the track yet you can still come out and hang with the group. Good way to get an idea of how trackdays go.

I just looked at the date for the Cresson day. I wouldn't be able to make it. I have to work nights that weekend. Dangit I will have to look at the other dates to find another one that will work with my work schedule.

No worries, there are going to be plenty of track days in the area. Perhaps you may want to drop by to hang out with some of us, even if cannot make it to ride. That way, you're going to get some insight into what the track day experience is all about.

I have Sidi boot, not sure the model, but I really like them, my only complaint is there is 0 air flow and they get pretty warm in the summer on a hot track. Those you linked do don't appear to have any better ventilation then mine and if you're only planning to wear them at the track I'd defently look for something with good air.

I actually like the lack of airflow in mine. My ZX6 dumped a ton of heat onto my feet in the middle of summer. Airflow would just make my feet overheat quicker.

I have been riding with steel toe work boots since last year so my feet getting hot doesn't bother me. I the boots flow a little air it will be a bonus.

Yeah, those aren't going to get much air flow. Which at the track during the summer is bearable, but you will sometimes wish they had more airflow.

I've got two pairs of sidi, and love them both. One of them is the Vertigo air. They are perforated leather, and have so much airflow with the vents open that you feel like your just wearing socks.

Well I have been riding with the boots for a few weeks now and have to say they are great. They do get a little warm but it isn't any different than the boots I was using. The only problem I have with them is now I can't touch the ground as well. When backing the bike up the top of the boots hit my pegs and shifter lever. Needless to say I have had to learn how to backup all over again.
