New here, introduced by 111.
Hey guys. I was browsing online for a track bike and came across one that 111 was selling. He sold it before i got ahold of him, but we started talking about track days and he referred me to the forum.
I have been riding for about a year. I ride mostly every day, depending on the weather. I've got 7 bikes right now. They are:
2005 Yamaha FZ6, streetfighter
2000 Suzuki SV650, naked
1981 Kawasaki KZ440, cafe racer
2008 Qlink XP200, supermoto
2003 Ninja 250
2006 Ninja 250
1983 Honda XR-80
I'd love to come out to a track day or a bike night. My girlfriend rides, too (luckily).
I know, this post is useless without pics. I have pictures of all my bikes, just not on my computer. I'll load them on and post here in a little bit.
I'm a Marine Corps combat veteran. I was deployed to Afghanistan from 2009-2010. I'm a gun nut & self-proclaimed gunsmith. If any of you guys are into cars, I'm running a 2006 Mustang GT, full bolt-ons, supercharged, full suspension, and full exhaust. Also a '90 Wrangler, 6" lift, 35" Baja Claws, 10k lb winch, B&M shift kit, etc etc.

Re: New here, introduced by 111.
Good to see you. You should take the SV out to the track. That would be a perfect track bike. That is actually a very popular race bike.
What kind of gun stuff interests you? I assume tactical? My dad actually does tactical and long range competition as well as manufactures parts(jeccustoms.com)
And thank you for your service. I probably don't tell that to enough veterans.

Re: New here, introduced by 111.
I bought the SV from a friend that pulled into his garage, and totally disassembled it to turn it into a dedicated track bike. He didn't have time, money, motivation, etc to do it, so it's just been sitting for a while. He moved so i bought the entire bike (clear title), along with tons of extra stuff like a new swing arm, two extra carbs, extra engine block, new bars, lots of oil and chemicals, saddle bags, aftermarket exhaust and seat, and a lot of other stuff. He took $375 for everything haha. I'm dropping it off to a motorcycle mechanic friend of mine to do a total reassembly. From there, i'll do my own mods once it's rolling again.
I've got lots of guns, everything from WWII rifles to tactical carbines and precision rifles, handguns, etc. I've slowed down my gun hobby a lot since i've gotten serious about riding. Most things just stay in the safe for 'doomsday'.

Welcome to the boards. Hope I will be able to meet you next bike night. Bring your girlfriend along too!!! There aren't many chics here that ride (I think I may be the only one here....) but I do know a few potentials that will hopefully be riding soon!!

Backoff (if you value your hide), he has a girlfriend...that is guessing she minds. If she doesn't, then go for it.Rhino wrote:OMG that Kawi cafe racer is HOT!!!

Re: New here, introduced by 111.
Thanks for the warm welcome, guys.
My girlfriend's bike was one of the ninjas, but i just sold both of them a couple days ago. Now she'll be riding the SV650 once it's together. She'll probly roll on the supermoto for the next week or so until the SV finished.
Where do you guys normally meet? How long are the rides, and what are they like? Are they like the Harley riders that have ranks that line up in a very specific way and go 10mph under the speed limit, or like the sport bike riders up by where i live that travel in packs of 50-100 that dominate the road going 100+mph and dont keep any 'riding order'?
Or maybe somewhere in between?
